Target, who'd have thought...?

Well, it's been a great first week home with my baby. He's perfect!! It's a challenge getting used to the schedule he sets for us, but we're surviving. Darren went back to work today and I took care of Judson and he's still alive. I say that's success!!
So, back to Target. After being trapped in a hospital and my house for over 3 weeks, Darren's mom watched the baby and we were able to go out shopping. Who'd have thought that I would look forward to going to Target so much, but I did and it was great. It was nice to be out and feeling human again. We were there for an hour and a half. I was walking the whole time and I didn't even get tired. I remember the last few weeks of my pregnancy I couldn't stand for more than 5-minutes. I thought I'd never be able to stand and walk without pain again. Well, I was wrong. My hips are back to normal and it's great. It was a fun outing and we didn't even have anything exciting to buy. Just some baby supplies and some food.
I was able to go to sacrament meeting this week also. That was great, too. It's been nearly a month since I've been at church. I missed it a lot and was so grateful to just be there for one meeting. It's great to be able to get up and out every now and then. I appreciate the little things that I was able to do so freely before Judson came. It's so different, but so great to have this little baby around.

Thank you!!

This is Crystal! I'm alive and doing well. I'm at home now and so happy to be out of the hospital. I still have a way to go to be totally over the pneumonia, but I'm much better than I was. Thank you all so much for your prayers and concern. It is great to be home with Darren and Judson. Both Grandmother's have done an excellent job at getting Judson on a schedule and now it's just up to me to step in and carry on. Judson is a great baby that sleeps a lot, wakes up to eat and play and is all over quite calm. I'm happy for that. He's perfect!!!!

Together at last

Crystal was able to come home from the hospital today. We are finally all together in one place. No more running up and back to the hospital every day. Crystal is a little nervous because now she has to take care of this baby. I know we will continue to get help until Crystal and I are comfortable with taking care of all of Judson's needs.

Crystal back in the Hospital

I just wanted to update everyone that may not know what is going on. Crystal was not feeling well a few days after she got out of the hospital. We went to get her staples removed and the doctor suggested we go to the emergency room to get her checked out. They determined that there was something that was not right. Because she had surgery and had just had a baby she was a high risk for heart problems and blood clots and also for pneumonia. She was transfered to the Cardiac ICU. Sounds scary but they just wanted to be very careful with her. Her heart was fine and she did not have blood clots. She did however have pneumonia. She was transfered to the Respiratory unit and is doing much better now. They are working with her to get her lungs cleaned up and strong. She is making great progress and we are hoping she will be home soon. In the meantime we are getting a lot of help from our families.

Judson came home a few days ago and is as happy and healthy as can be. He has learned that if he holds his binki in it works better for him.

Crystal is out of the Hospital

That's right. She is out. We left the Hospital at about 2 this afternoon. We then went down to the other hospital to check up on Judson. He was awake when we got there and we were able to see him get fed. He was able to have some of his mommies milk. He still has been getting his IV and we were still unable to pick him up because of it but he is getting less from the IV and so we are hoping that it will be out soon. Crystal is happy to be out of the hospital and in her own bed tonight.
