NKOTB

I don't know how many of you are New Kids on the Block fans, but I am. They were the boy band of my youth and I've often enjoyed listening to their songs and feeling young again. Anyway, I just read on an entertainment blog that they are back together. They are set to perform on the Today show this Friday, April 4th. It is supposed to be all 5 of them. I'm setting my DVR as soon as I get home for this reunion performance. Yeah for NKOTB!!!

Another month has passed

Judson is now 7-months old! Wow!! I really cannot believe how fast time is flying. He is such a fun, happy baby. I was just about to write loving, but he may need to work on that aspect. He does not like to cuddle, be held for too long, look at the person holding him, sit still and he hits and kicks the whole time he is held. I still love him so very much and it is just a funny quirk that he has.

In the last week he has grown up so fast. He has rolled from his back to his tummy for a couple of months now. He never rolled back to his back, though. Well, just in the last week he has started rolling from his back to his tummy to his back and so on... This means that he can now get across a room without too much of a problem. While on his tummy he knows how to turn in a circle. As soon as he puts the rolling and turning together he will be able to get anywhere. Aaaaahhh!! I don't think I am ready for that yet. At least our condo is so small that he won't be able to travel far without running into a wall or furniture. And I don't have to worry about stairs at home. That's nice. It's fun to see him progress and grow. He has also discovered new sounds he can make. He blows raspberries with his mouth and has learned to make piggy noises at the back of his throat with his mouth closed. It's funny to be in public when he makes these noises. Everyone looks around to see where they're coming from.

Darren and I are doing well. Darren loves his job at Fidelity. He takes the Series 7 (stock broker) test this Friday, so wish him luck. I know he'll do great!! He's been studying so hard and has been doing quite well on the practice tests. Yeah!!!

6 1/2 Months Old

So, we went to the doctor's office on Friday and Judson is doing really well. He's healthy, but still skinny. (How would that be?) He is 17.7 lbs and 29 inches tall!! I hear that is so tall for a 6-month old. He's off the charts. I guess that's why he's so skinny. All his food is going to his height. He's happy, though and that's what matters the most. Here are a few pictures of him taken this last week!! He's the cutest baby ever!!!

Books vs. Movies

So, right now I'm reading Emma. It's a great book. I'm reading it for the first time. It's fun to see the similarities to the movie Clueless. Clueless is one of my favorite movies of all time. It came out when I was a senior in Highschool and my friends and I saw it many times in the theatre and bought the movie promptly upon its release. I still watch it whenever it's on TV (I only have the VHS and that's so 10 years ago so I never watch it).

So far I like the book and the movie equally. It's probably because the movie is not trying to portray the book exactly. It's just based on the book.

I struggle with movies from books. I always love the book so much better. But watching the movie always prompts me to read the book again just to prove the book is so much better. Anyway, I just wanted to comment on this book and movie. I'm probably too old to still like Clueless so much, but oh well!!

Six-Months Old...

...And one week. Judson is getting so old so fast. He is starting to be able to balance when he's sitting up all by himself. We go in next Friday for his six-month dr's appointment. I think he's 19ish pounds, but we'll see. Here's apicture of our big boy!!!

I'm a Doer!

This is good news to me. I've always thought of myself as a Doer, but now I have the personality test results to back it up. I took a personality test and my type is ESTP.
