New Hampshire

Judson, my parents and I leave bright and early tomorrow morning for New Hampshire. My sisters, Kelly and Ginger, live about 45 minutes from each other, so it's nice to be able to visit both of them with only one airline fare. I'm super excited for this trip. We are going to miss Darren so much and I'm sure Darren will miss us for our 12 day adventure. I'll hopefully be able to post each day I'm out there. This is mostly for Darren so he won't miss out on 12 days of Judson's life. Judson has only been alive for roughly 240 days. So 12 days is 5% of his life right now. That's crazy to think about. He's on the verge of figuring out the whole crawling thing. I really don't want Darren to miss it, so we'll be trying to distract him from crawling while we're away. We'll see... Wish us luck on our flight. I'm sure Judson will be well behaved, but wishes of luck could never hurt!! :)

Cuter than Cute!!

Judson is actually starting to smile when he sees the camera. He used to look at it and wonder what it was and never smile. So, we're progressing. That's good.

Judson in mom's sunglasses. He is so fashionable. The big sunglasses look is in!!

We got some clothes from my sister, Heather and there was a hawaiian shirt. Darren loves hawaiian shirts so we had to make Judson and dad twinners. And of course, I had to get a picture of it! My boys are so cute!!!

Judson's First Flight

Judson and I are going to New Hampshire and Massachusetts to visit my sisters. We are so excited. Well, I'm pretty sure he has no idea about the trip but subconsciously he's excited. We leave a week from tomorrow. My parents were flying out there to visit, so I thought I'd tag along for the multiple person support on the airplane with Judson. I'm nervous about the flight because Judson does not like to sit still, but we'll see. With my parents there hopefully there will be enough passing him around to keep him entertained.

My sister Kelly and her family have never met Judson and probably won't be coming back to Utah until next year. So I decided to take Judson to them. A vacation sounds like fun anyway. It's nice that Ginger and Sam are only 45 minutes away from Kelly so we get to visit two sisters with just one trip. Ginger and Sam were here from Christmas through March so they have met Judson already, but are excited to see him again. We will miss Darren so much for the 11 days we are gone. Hopefully he will enjoy the time to rest and have fun without a wife and baby driving him crazy. (wife more than the baby drives him crazy)

I have made up all my lists of items to pack. I'm a list maker. I think it makes me calm to write lists, even if I don't follow them. It will be interesting traveling with a little baby, but he's a good baby so maybe he'll be good and just love the whole trip. I'm crossing my fingers for a not full flight so I can bring his car seat on for him to have his own space. I'd buy him a ticket, but it's just too expensive. I called the airline because they talk about affordable discounted tickets for babies under 2. Well the affordable discount price is $135 each way. I think that's barely $10 less than I spent on my ticket. Nice discount! Oh well, it will be an adventure!!!

The Mayan

We went to the Mayan for Sami's birthday. It was fun and not as horrible food-wise as we had thought. Judson has fun with his cousins. They love to entertain him and make him laugh. Thank you for inviting us, Sami!!

Life Flight

So, this evening Darren and I were at our HOA meeting and we heard and saw fire trucks, police cars and the paramedics come into our community. Shortly after we saw the police cars leave and block traffic on the street. And then the life flight came. It landed on the street outside our place. It was cool to watch a helicopter so close, but sad knowing that someone in our community needed life flight. We don't know exactly what happened, but the life flight was down for about 10 minutes and then they were off again. We hope everything turns out ok for whoever needed them.

Here's the story for those who want to know what happened.

87%

Darren passed his Series 7 test with 87%. The score he needed to pass was 70%. The average score of those who pass is 73% and only 66% of those who take the test pass it. We are so excited that this test is done. He now has two weeks to study for the state test. I'm sure he'll do just as well on that!!

Judson has a tooth!!

I was driving to Provo last night to visit Pam. Judson has been a little fussy for the past couple of days and was fussy in the car. I had my hand back by him and he put my finger in his mouth. Well, he bit on it and it felt weird. I felt around more and there is a little bit of sharpness poking through his lower gums!! I've heard that teeth can surface and then go back down. So it's not official yet, but he may have a tooth!! What a milestone! Yeah for Judson!! Not much longer and he'll get to have a big steak for dinner. :)
