Pre-Halloween 2008
We started our Halloween Celebrations this last week. Friday night was our ward Halloween party. We went just for the dinner part because Judson is a little too young for the games. We had yummy chili and learned that Judson loves hot dogs.
On Saturday we had a party at Darren's Parent's house. The three grandkids, Tui, Judson and Trajen dressed up, as did their Aunt Heather. It was a fun party. Judson got to help his dad decorate cookies and we had some yummy food. Tui started the day as a dragon, but ended up wearing Judson's alternate wizard costume. He made a cute wizard.
Sunday we had my families Halloween get together. I was able to get pics of all families there. The group pic of all the grandkids was great. My mom dressed up as a witch. It was such a cute costume. Everyone looked great. We played musical chairs. Judson came in third place (with the help of Darren, of course). The prize for getting out was some crazy glasses. It was so much fun.
We are so grateful for our fun families and all the fun times we have with them!!

Back Log of Posts
Ok, here are the posts I should have posted over the last couple of weeks but didn't.

Judson has a new favorite toy. He loves this car. He plays in it now. He can only get it to go backward, but I think he feels like such a big boy driving his own car.
This is Judson's favorite toy in the basement. My mom's treadmill. He always plays on, around or with the treadmill. I have to check it everyday to make sure there aren't toys stuck in any of the parts. He just loves this treadmill. We've never turned it on with him on it yet. I wonder what he'd do then???
Judson had his first REAL haircut. Kira cut his hair and it looks so good. He looks like a little boy now instead of the homeless baby hair that he has been the last little while. I'm such a nerd for not taking an after picture, but I will. Judson's in bed right now so it will have to be later. I got my hair cut as well. That picture will come later too.

What happens in Vegas...
I'll share with you. We had such a fun time in Vegas and Pahrump with Doug, Kristi, Jordan, Kaylee, Lexi and Mason. Judson did great!! We drove to Vegas on Thursday. We left at 1 Utah time and pulled into The Rio in Vegas at 7 Vegas time. 7 hours, not too shabby. We decided to treat our selves to a 4 star hotel the first night. Since it was a Thursday night we got a sweet deal on Hotwire. We stayed at the Rio Hotel and Casino. It was a tough trip for me. My back has been bugging me again, but I survived and my back is recovering from the time in the car and on strange hotel beds. Here are some pictures of the Rio. We had a treat in the morning and watched the man wash the window. Judson loved it. He really, really loved the full wall of windows. He loved to look out. He was unsure at first, but when he knew there was a window there and all was safe he loved it.

On Friday morning we went to Caesar's shops to see the big fish tank in front of the Cheesecake Factory. Judson loved watching the fish and does a fish face on cue. We also walked through FAO Schwartz toy store. Darren and Judson played on the famous big keyboard with their feet and Judson loved seeing all the toys. He growled at every animal. He knows animal noises, but growls the best so that always comes first.

Later Friday we drove to Pahrump to see the fam. We hung out all afternoon and went to the Pahrump Valley High School homecoming football game Friday night. Doug is the band teacher at the school. His marching band was the half-time show and they were great. They played rock and roll songs and I was really impressed. I got a picture of everyone, not all together but they're all there somewhere. Doug is even in the first marching band picture. He's playing the roll of drum major at the right bottom corner of the pic.

We took a chance on our last two nights in Vegas and booked an unknown 2 1/2 star hotel. I was impressed. It wasn't much, but was just what we needed. There was a kitchen which was used to put Judson's play pen out of sight and a separate bed area for us. It was nice and it was cheap. All in all we had a great time in Vegas and Pahrump. Thanks to Doug and Kristi for feeding us and hanging out with us while we were there!

When one door closes....
We closed on our condo today. We no longer own property. I've been saying that we're homeless, but that's not true. My wonderful parents have allowed us to share their home for a while and it's great!! Well seeing as we have all this money now, we're going to Vegas!!!! Ok, we really are going to Vegas, but not for what you're thinking. We're not going to bet on red and try and double our money. We're going to visit Darren's brother Doug and his family. It will be a fun trip. I'm always nervous for Judson and how he'll be in the car and at night and naptimes and if he'll be cranky or mad, but I have always worried for naught. Judson is a great baby and he gets to meet his cousin Mason for the first time. Mason is 5 months older than Judson. I think they'll play great together and have a great time!!
After our trip we'll have to see about getting us a permanent home of our own. I'm not in a rush and I'm actually nervous about such a huge purchase, but I know we'll be able to find what we need. It's a great change to make.

Digiscrap
I've been trying to document Judson's first year of life thus far in a digital scrapbook. Because of this I have been organizing photos. Well, we got this disposable camera from the Life Flight crew when Jusdon was moved from Cottonwood to LDS hospital the day he was born. They told us that they would take pictures to document the trip since I couldn't be there with him. Well the camera was at the NICU with Judson and they had taken 3 pictures. (Come to find out, two of them didn't turn out, nice documentation Life Flight Crew.) We took a picture of Judson under the bili lights and then when Judson came home, the camera ended up in a pocket of his changing table. I would pull out the camera every now and then and snap a photo of Judson. I think I took the last picture when he was 10-11 months old. We just got the film developed. (sidenote: Walmart doesn't do one hour development on 35mm cameras anymore, only digital. Who Knew?) I tried to guess the chronological order of the pics, but they may be out of order a bit. I just thought this would be a fun little slide show. So, Enjoy!!
