We are officially on the one week countdown to close. I have been super nervous and not really getting my hopes up, but now that everything is finally in order I'm getting my hopes up. This time next week we will own our first house. Yeah!!!
We went to our new ward last week and it was great! I'm excited to get to know all the wonderful people there. They were all very friendly and super excited that we were moving in. Nursery was fun, too. Judson didn't want anything to do with it, so I dragged him through the door and I got to spend the next 2 hours sitting in a corner watching the kids play. Judson has a lot of fun with the other kids, he just has to keep looking over at me every minute or so to make sure I'm still there. And heaven forbid I get up to walk over to the garbage to throw something away. This caused an instant Judson melt down. He was fine once he saw I went right back to my chair. I think nursery may be the first calling in my future new ward. I might as well. I'll probably be in there every week anyway. But it was great.
Everything is now going smoothly. (knock on wood). I can't wait to get into my house and start putting everything away. I'm happy to being one week away from having my stuff out of storage. I've missed my stuff. Interestingly enough what I've missed most are my filing cabinets. Who knew I loved paper organization?

LOL, I'm glad you'll have your filing cabinents back!
You should just ditch him in nursery and let the nursery leaders take care of him. He's a resilient kid, he'll cry 3 min and then go play.
I am so excited for Lochlan to go to nursery...2 1/2 month and counting. I am in the primary presidency and Adam teaches the 16 year old so he runs around the primary room for an hour then in the halls for the last hour.
You are so close to moving in to your beautiful home! I'm so happy for you guys. I'm glad your ward is nice. Hopefully Judson will warm up quickly. He might need to cry it out for a bit. It really helped Griff to have a specific toy in nursery that he always went to. He had a Winnie the Pooh bear that the teacher would give to him right when he came in the door and it helped. Good luck!
I saw the pictures of your soon to me home, it looks amazing. That is very exciting and it will be nice to put all your stuff in the house and make it yours. In our primary, it's encouraged to have the parents stay and make the transition for the kids smooth. Although when I was in nursery I just wished the parents would leave and let us handle it because the kids really are fine after a couple of minutes. He'll be great over the next few weeks!
Yay, Crystal!!! TODAY is the day, right?!! Congrats! I'm excited for you guys!
