2009
The new year also brought with it our house hunt. We were ready to start touring homes and finding the right one for us. We went out once to look at homes and saw a few possibilities. The next day we found that because I was laid-off we wouldn't qualify for a loan until I got a job. So now we are waiting again. It's ok. I'm sure we're just giving the people that are now living in our house time to fix it up, clean it up and make it ready for us.
Hopefully I'll find a job soon and home even sooner after. Keep your fingers crossed for me and my job hunt. There's not much out there, but I'm sure I'll find a job where they need me and I can learn and grow.
This year will be interesting. I can't wait to find out what happens next!!!

Christmas Parties
First off was a party at our friend Adrian's house. It was a lot of fun. We hung out, ate and played Outburst Remix. Judson loved playing in Hayley's room with all of her toys. Hayley was nervous he'd break something at first, but then she was ok that he was playing in there. We found out Judson was very scared of dogs moving around close to him. He has become much more brave since the night of the party, but it was sad to see him scream in fear everytime he saw the dogs. The dogs are very nice, so it wasn't even their fault. It was a fun party and just a fun group to hang out with.
Next party was the Seegmiller Family Party. This is Darren's Mom's family's party. We go to provo every year to this party. This year we had a variety of soups and yummy salad. We also brought white elephant gifts for the auction. We answered a questionaire that got us points and then bid on items with our points. I ended up only using 4 of my 26 points, but that's ok. It was a fun night.
On December 23rd my family gets together for our Christmas Eve traditions. We all bring appetizers to share, act out the nativity and exchange gifts. It's always so much fun. This year Christopher had Judson's name. He got an Elmo doll that talks when you move his mouth. He loves it!! Paul and Rachelle had our name and we got emergency preparedness items. This was our theme for the gift exchange this year. For the nativity Judson and I were Wise Men. Judson didn't really like the crown (he liked the shepherds staffs more), but I had to get a picture anyway. It's always crazy when we all get together, but so much fun.
Christmas Eve we spent at the Farr's. It was fun. We went through their Christmas Eve book which consists of the Christmas story with songs throughout that we all sing. It was a good reminder of the Christmas Story. I also love just sitting around and singing. Later that night we went Christmas Caroling with the Stokes'. It's a tradition that we try to fit in each year. We love caroling, and hope that the people we carol to enjoy it.
Our last Christmas party happened this past weekend. We went to the Little America Brunch on Saturday with the Farr Extended family. It was great!!! I love that buffet! It was fun to see all the family there. Darren was unable to attend, but Ginger, Cami and Juan came with me in his place. It takes three people to replace Darren, I guess.
We had a fun season of parties. I'm way behind on posts, but I'm catching up today. More to come...
