Yesterday was President's Day. Traditionally this day is to celebrate Washington and Lincoln's Birthdays, but I notified Darren that for me the celebration has changed. I told Darren that President's day is for him because he's the president of our family. (I also told him that I'm the Senate and the Congress so I make all the decisions and he really has no say, but he's the pretty face on the poster saying he's president. I'm nice, eh?) Anyway, we celebrated by going to the zoo. It was fun. I haven't been to the zoo since elementary school. Judson loved seeing all the animals. It was a little chilly out, but we survived. Darren's sister Tiffany and her husband Brandon and their son Trajen joined us. Judson and Trajen always love being together.
We measured Judson to see if he is growing like a gorilla. Not yet, but maybe someday.

We visited the Elephants. Judson loves Elephants. He always tries to make the trumpet noise with his mouth, but it just sounds more like a raspberry. It's so cute. This elephant was trying to escape. He was taking his log wall apart a piece at a time.

At the zebra area we saw a lady in a black and white striped shirt. I thought she was dressing like the animals. Then I thought it would be fun to dress like a different animal each time we went to the zoo. Then I thought that would be nerdy, so I dismissed the idea all together.

At the Giraffe's area we were standing by a Giraffe that liked to get close. He or she kept trying to get close to Brandon's hat. There was a lady standing by Brandon and the Giraffe's head got really close, but couldn't quite reach her. As she was calling her daughter to come over, the giraffe's tongue came out. The tongue was at least a foot long and black and it tried to get her sweater. It was funny. We had a great time at the zoo. We have a family pass for the year, so we'll be going back often. Yeah for the zoo!!
